You may notice a caravan of military vehicles going through the area sometime over the next few days.  It’s all part of Exercise Maple Caravan.

 

70 military vehicles and training equipment are travelling in groups from Val Cartier, Quebec to Wainwright, Alberta a distance of 4,000km.

The convoy is expected to be in the North Bay and Timmins areas sometime between today (Wednesday) and Saturday.  The Canadian Armed Forces, The US Army National Guard, the US Army reserve are all involved.
Around 325 personnel are said to be involved. This exercise is in support of Exercise Maple Resolve which begins in late April in Alberta.
