canadaday280x160Canada Day is fast approaching and the City of North Bay has a lot of activities planned for July 1st.  The Canada Day Road Race starts off the day, while there’s free admission to the “Fakes and Forgeries” exhibit at Discovery North Bay Museum, there’s cricket coaching and a reaffirmation citizenship ceremony too.

There’s also the cake cutting and singing of Oh Canada, a multicultural showcase, Canada Day Kid Zone and much more.

The opening ceremonies will also see the Canada Day poster winner’s poster unveiled.  “Canadian Pride” was the theme with Grade 7 student Meagan Clouthier, from Mattawa’s Elisabeth Bruyere, this year’s winner.

Live entertainment is lined up for the evening with the Fireworks Finale set to close out the celebrations at 10pm on Canada Day.
