textingNew driving laws are in effect starting on Tuesday. Anyone caught using a cell phone while driving face an automatic fine of $490-dollars along with the loss of three demerit points upon conviction. They’ve also updated the “move over” law to include tow-trucks, so if you see one stopped on the side of the road with it’s lights flashing you must slow down and move over. If you don’t you’ll suffer the same fine as the cell phone charges.

There are also new fines and regulations for impaired driving, pedestrian and cyclist safety and drivers with medical conditions.
