High Expectations at Battalion Training Camp

The North Bay Battalion started their training camp this week with new and familiar faces undertaking fitness training on Wednesday.

The first on-ice sessions get underway Thursday, with a Green-White intrasquad game at 4 pm at Memorial Gardens.

Although there are returning players from the previous season, Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says there are plenty of roster spots up for grabs.“We’re here to pick the best players for the team,” said  Coach Butler.  “And If that means players from last year team can’t make our team then that means our team will be stronger this year and that’s the way we go.”

The Troops will take on the Wolves in Sudbury this Sunday for their first preseason game and then will play the Wolvesagain at home on the 8th.
