New apartment complex proposed for Lakeshore and Mowat

A new nine unit apartment complex is being proposed for a vacant area of land on the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Mowat Crescent.

Chair of the Planning Advisory Committee Bob Lewis says it will be situated just off the lake, and it will be a brand new building.

He says that is an attractive area to build.

Lewis says Sunset Park is just a short distance away which attracts a lot of people in the summer and the winter, so it’s a good area to be.

He says they will have to change the current commercial zone to a multi-residential zoned area in order for the build to take place.
