canboticsNorth Bay’s newest FRC Robotics team, 5807 CANbotics, competed at Victoria Park Collegiate School in Toronto on the weekend along with 16 other FRC Rookie teams in the very first Fall Fiesta Junior Event in Canada. They won the round robin and in the playoffs they cruised through the semis into the finals where they swept the second ranked alliance giving them the first ever title.

Winning the junior title Friday gave them a chance to compete in the main event Saturday. The 24 team main event Saturday included 5 different past world champion teams. In the round robin they took the lead in the first round and led throughout the day in all five rounds. In the finals they swept the best 2 out of 3, 2-0 giving them their second title in as many days as Senior Main Event Champions.

The team was also awarded the most offensive robot award, capping off the weekend for the team.
