Mixed results for the Patriotes, Voodoos and Lakers.

There was no shortage of sports yesterday as several local teams competed on Saturday.

NDA FOOTBALL

Franco Cite defeated St Joseph Scollard Hall 21-20 in the junior football semi-finals. They will take on Widdifield next week in the NDA finals.

NOJHL

The Powassan Voodoos are now on a two game losing streak after falling to the Rayside-Balfour Canadiens 3-2 on the road. The Voodoos will look to bounce back Wednesday when they travel to French River to take on the Rapids.

Lakers

The men’s hockey team traveled to Thunder Bay and edged Lakehead 2-1.

The men’s volleyball team were also victorious after defeating RMC in four sets.

The women’s volleyball team were swept in three sets and lost to the RMC Paladins.

Both the men’s and women’s basketball team suffered a big loss to Carleton. The Ravens men’s team won with a final score of 102-67 and the lady Ravens won 78-43.
