Ferguson construction(File photo) Council will be looking at their 2016 capital projects during tonight’s (Monday) Committee meeting.

Mayor Al McDonald says one report coming forward looks at the capital budget, and council will view the list of projects that could be taking place next year.

McDonald says the main projects are all concentrated on keeping the city’s infrastructure up to date.

He says they will spend about $3.5-million more on resurfacing roads.

McDonald adds they have money for rural roads, and there’s projects on the water and sewer side.

Other items on the agenda include discussing the rates for the water meters.

He says the proposal is for the rates to go down.

McDonald says the cubic meter rate will go from $1.46 to $1.03 and the fixed monthly fee will go from $31.80 to $29.80.

As well they will look at a report on election signs.
