Agreement reached between ONTC and IBEW employees

A 5 year agreement has been reached between Ontario Northland and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. 

The deal affects employees along the rail line who work the signal system, highway grade crossing protection and electronic train scanning equipment. 

Ontario Northland president Corina Moore says she’s very pleased an agreement has been reached and both bargaining teams have produced a positive result for employees and the company. 

Steve Martin is the General Chairman of System Council 11 of the IBEW.

He says he is proud the agreement has been ratified.
