(21 YEAR OLD CHARGED)

North Bay Police have charged a 21 year old city man with flight from police after a weekend incident.

He has also been charged with a Highway Traffic Act violation for using plates not authorized for the vehicle he was driving and a insurance act violation with operating a vehicle on a highway with no insurance.

Police say on Sunday morning, snowmobile officers were on patrol on Lakeshore Drive when they observed a male driver in a car parked at Premier Road and Lakeshore Drive.

They learned the license plate on the vehicle was attached to the wrong vehicle.

Police say the driver was unable to provide proof of insurance and after police were making arrangements to have the vehicle towed the driver and vehicle fled the scene.

The driver was eventually arrested near his downtown residence with the vehicle nearby.
