Police2 (North Bay)A domestic violence incident has led to charges. 

North Bay Police say in April an argument between a husband  and wife turned violent when the male damaged the female’s personal property and then burned her with a kitchen knife.

Then in November, she was threatened with a starter pistol. The name of the accused has not been released to protect the identity of the victim  who did not suffer life threatening injuries in the first incident.

Meantime, a busy weekend overall with 190 calls for service and 15 arrests.

Charges include mischief under 5 Thousand Dollars, assault with a weapon, flight while pursued by officer, domestic assault, domestic mischief, uttering threats, public intoxication, theft under 5 Thousand Dollars, breach of probation, impaired operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to provide breath sample

And North Bay Police have released details of the local Festive R.I.D.E. campaign held between February 27th and January 3rd.

In all, 659 vehicles were stopped and four mororists were charged.

The charges include impaired driving, drive over 80 MG of alcohol in blood. 

The drivers charged are 19, 23, 45 and 47.

Three of the four are male.
