OPP conducting patrols on the bypass

North Bay OPP are stepping up enforcement on the bypass. 

This after an increase in collisions involving injuries this month on the Highway 11/17 corridor. 

Constable Carolyn Ward says officers will be watching for behaviours that have been identified as the primary causes of the collisions. 

They include driving too fast for road conditions, distracted driving, tailgating, aggressive driving, speeding, disobeying traffic controls and improper turns. 

The initiative, which runs until January 22nd, will see police providing increased enforcement and education.
