StreetCrimeInvestigation_TraffickingMarijuanaCannabisResinRetired Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair is at the helm of drafting legislation of legalizing marijuana.

While he doesn’t agree with the decision, North Bay Police Chief Paul Cook says Blair is the right guy to put in charge of drafting regulations.

He says Blair will be aware of the issues that cause concerns and will be sensitive to the need for public consultation.

Cook adds he is the right person to draft the regulations.

Cook says Blair plans to reach out to leaders in the police sector, health sector and community partners and stakeholders when drafting this legislation.
