New telemedicine walk-in clinic to open in North Bay next week

Telemedicine is a new way for patients to get checked for routine issues including allergies, pregnancy tests or blood pressure checks.

Patients are put into an examination room with a Telemedicine assistant who will set up a video conference with an out of market doctor who then preforms the examination.

Pharmacist Ranjan Rupal says there will be a Telemedicine clinic in North Bay, opening next Monday.

He says if someone doesn’t have a doctor you can come in and get some of the more common place ailments taken care of.

The clinic is at 41 Lakeshore Drive in the new expanded area of Phil’s Lakeshore Pharmasave.
