metallicaMetallica have revealed new details about the deluxe editions of their Kill ’Em All and Ride the Lightning albums, which will be reissued this spring. Rolling Stone reports that the deluxe box set of Kill ’Em All will contain four LPs, five CDs, a DVD, a deluxe book with rare photos, and a patch. Meanwhile, Ride the Lightning will contain four vinyl records, six CDs, a DVD and a book with rare photos, a mini-book of James Hetfield’s handwritten lyrics, and three posters. The band have also shared two samples of rare recordings on Soundcloud yesterday: a version of Kill ‘Em All’s “Phantom Lord“ recorded live in Paris in 1984 and a “garage demo” of Lightning’s title track.
