Beach VballThere may be snow on the ground right now, but Vision Sports and Entertainment is already thinking about beach volleyball.

They’ve outlined their jam packed 2016 line-up which includes the Canadian stop for NORCECA, RIO Olympics Canadian Qualification, OVA Elite Grand Slam and Volleyball Canada Adult National Championship.

There’s also a summer beach volleyball league, a couple OVA youth qualification tournaments, Fireworks Sand Bash, Basketball Canada 3 on 3 competition, Summer In The Park Sand Box Invitational and Nationals Beach Party.

When it comes to NORCECA (North America, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation), officials say last year they received one of the highest ratings by the international delegates for hosting the event from amongst all the host countries.

– VSE Canada Summer Beach Volleyball League will run June 6 – August 11 with a 1-week playoff, registration opens in March at www.vsecanada.com

– Ontario Volleyball Association Youth Qualification Tournaments, June 11-12 & July 16-17

– NORCECA International Beach Volleyball Tournament, Canada Day Long weekend, June 30-July 3, tickets go on sale in March at www.vsecanada.com

– Fireworks Sand Bash, Canada Day July 1, live band to be announced.

– RIO Olympics Canadian Qualification, July 16 (TBD in June based on standings).

– Ontario Volleyball Association Elite Grand Slam, Summer in the Park wknd, July 29-31

– Summer in the Park Sand Box Invitational, July 29-31

– Volleyball Canada Adult National Championships, August 25-28

– Basketball Canada 3 on 3 competition, August 25-28

– Nationals Beach Party, August 27, live entertainment to be announced.
