Fanshawe wins over CanadoreCanadore College is hosting the OCAA women’s volleyball championship.

The Panthers opened their tournament with a 3-1 loss last night (Thursday) to Fanshawe.

“Coming back in the first set and not being able to pull that match through with some terrible decisions and then have the same result in the second set, that was tough. So, momentum comes and goes and we needed to keep that consistent and they did that better today,” shared Canadore head coach Stefanie Leblanc.

Canadore plays again at 3 o’clock this afternoon, against Algonquin as they look to earn a berth in tomorrow’s consolation final.

Meantime, the annual OCAA volleyball awards were handed out Thursday morning in North Bay.

The Panthers’ Caitlin Hebert was named an East Division First Team All-star while Kayla Kosturik and Mackenzie Mills are East Division Second Team All-stars.
