imageThe playoffs begin tonight as the North Bay Battalion host the Peterborough Petes in the first round of the Eastern Conference Quarter Final.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says they played well the final week of the regular season, but he needs that to become more consistent from the Troops.

He says this first round will be a tough matchup as the Petes have a balanced lineup.

He says “if Adam Timleck doesn’t get hurt for them they would have seven-20 goal scorers. They have an experienced team and they have a lot of things that make them a favorable team.”

Butler says if the Battalion don’t play the way they need to play then life will be extremely difficult for North Bay.

He says they would love to open the series with a win, but he knows the first game won’t dictate the whole series.

He says “we would love to win the first game because it gives a bit of a cushion but, right know I just want to start seeing good things. So if we play a good game and we happen to lose it I’m not concerned.”

Butler says consistency will always give them a good chance to win.
