North Bay PoliceNorth Bay Police received 224 calls for service over the weekend with eight people facing charges.

They include break and enter, domestic assault, mischief, criminal harassment, carry and conceal, breach of probation, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of marijuana, unlawful use of credit card public intoxication, and impaired driving.

North Bay Police are charging a 30 year old North Bay man with one count of break, enter and commit, domestic assault, one count of domestic mischief, and one count of criminal harassment.

This after an investigation into a criminal harassment complaint to police Sunday night. It’s alleged that on Sunday April 10th, the accused forced his way into his ex-girlfriends residence.

An argument between the two followed which then became violent when the accused hit her and then damaged items in the residence.

It’s also alleged that the accused called and texted the victim several times as well as drove by the victim’s residence yelling, honking the horn and throwing garbage, at the victim’s residence.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

 

A 28 year old North Bay man has been charged with one count of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, carrying concealed weapon, and one count of breach of probation.

On Sunday April 10th, it’s alleged the man approached two pedestrians on the 600 block of Cassells Street and pulled a knife on them. The two fled the area unharmed.

Police located the man after a 911 call on Cassells Street. A 6 inch kitchen knife was found on his person after he was arrested and searched.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

 

A theft complaint lead North Bay Police to charge a 38-year old North Bay woman and a 54-year old North Bay man with four counts of unlawful use of credit card, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

The woman was also charged one count of possession of marijuana.

It’s alleged that on Sunday April 5th, the two were in possession of a purse containing credit cards that were stolen from a local hotel.

It’s also alleged that they used the credit cards to purchase two gift cards, perfume and cigarettes.

After a search by police after their arrest, it was revealed that the woman was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.

 

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in a sexual assault investigation.

Following a party early Saturday morning at a residence between Lansdowne Avenue and High Street, an uninvited, unknown man entered the residence and sexually assaulted a female resident.

The suspect has been described as a 6 foot tall Aboriginal man in his 20s, with a thin build, short dark hair with sparse facial hair, wearing a dark black jacket and dark jeans.

And a local pharmacy registered a complaint with North Bay Police regarding suspected counterfeit Fentanyl patches. This lead police to arrest two men on Thursday April 7th.

It’s alleged that on seven occasions, a 58-year old North Bay man brought in counterfeit Fentanyl patches to a local pharmacy in order to renew his prescription under the Patch4Patch program.

The man is also thought to have been selling Fentanyl patches, with a street value estimated at $9000.

A 50-year old North Bay man is also accused of brining in counterfeit Fentanyl patches to a local pharmacy in order to renew his prescription.

The 58-year old North Bay man was charged with seven counts of fraud under $5000 and seven counts of drug trafficking. While the 50-year old North Bay man was charged with five counts of fraud under $5000.
