The season at the North Bay Heritage Train and Carousel company starts on Friday.

Volunteer Shift Captain Michael Puccini says they’ll be operating 4 pm till dusk on Friday and 10 am till dusk on weekends until the end of June.

After that they’ll be running 7 days week for the summer.

Puccini says if past years are indication they’ll have over 100,000 people through the turnstiles before they finish their season on Thanksgiving Weekend.

He says it’s not just North Bay and area residents they serve, as they see tourists from many areas of the world, including Asia, Africa, South America and more.

Puccini says their major events are on Mother’s Day, May 14th is the volunteer recruitment Day and in June a chariry appreciation Day with funds raised for the North Bay Crisis Centre.
