A 45 year old North Bay man is facing several charges including 3 counts of assault with a weapon, mischief under $5,000, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, assault and failing to provide the necessities of life. Police say on Saturday, a verbal argument between a couple resulted in a shoe and a roll of toilet paper being thrown at a woman and then she was physically assaulted.

Police say there were other arguments earlier this month and in April.

And in one, the victim was struck by an object causing pain.

Police say the victim was also deprived of food in her own residence.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
