Local mining solutions company purchases international equipment supplier

It’s a move that is allowing Nordic Minesteel Technologies, a local mining solutions company, to expand it’s diverse range of custom designed equipment solutions.

NMT has purchased international equipment supplier, Specialized Maintenance Equipment.

The acquisition takes effect immediately.

In a release, officials say the SLT220 jack system is designed to keep operators safe by using a remote control to easily drive under the chassis of a haul truck and with a single lift, elevate a complete axle of a 240-400 ton truck.

The SLT220 uses the latest hydraulic and electronic technology to transform into a certified safety stand eliminating the need for secondary supports.

Tire maintenance time onsite is reduced, increasing truck availability.

The first piece of equipment was shipped to a site in South America last week.
