Race car driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a word to the wise – don’t drive in a snowstorm. He posted on hisTwitter account yesterday that he had to use a winch to pull his vehicle out of a ditch after he slid off the road and hit a tree in Mooresville, North Carolina. Dale Jr.  wrote: “NC stay off the roads today/tonight. 5 minutes after helping these folks I centre punched a pine tree.” A spokesperson for Earnhardt said the recently retired NASCAR driver wasn’t hurt and his vehicle only had minor damage. The folks he was helping are OK, too.
