The North Bay Battalion start February tonight at home and the team is red hot having won 9 of its last 10 games.

Coach Stan Butler likes the run they’re on but there’s a lot of work still left to do.

“There’s still some tough sledding. We got 20 games to go and we’re trying to secure a playoff spot. There are still teams behind us pushing hard so we have to keep finding ways to win hockey games.”

The Battalion are 5th in the east but only 5 points ahead of the 8th place team.

Butler says tonight’s opponent is Erie a team that beat them earlier in the season.

Butler says despite Erie’s 9th place standing in the west they do present a challenge.

“They have several players that played last year on an OHL championship team and won 50 games. They have guys in that room who know how to win and are competitive.”

Broadcast time on Country 600 is 6:55.
