North Bay Police have charged 4 people following the execution of a search warrant on an apartment on Duke Street.

The charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

Police say they seized 55 grams of cocaine, $5,000 in Canadian currency and 1 suboxone pill.

Police say the drugs seized have a street vale of $7,000.

A 41 year old Brampton man is facing multiple charges following a North Bay Police investigation.

Police say yesterday afternoon, police received a complaint that someone was at a woman’s residence and refused to leave. The woman owed the man money and he wouldn’t leave until he was paid.

Police located the man at another residence and close to $7,000 in Canadian currency was seized along with a small amount of crack cocaine and 13 grams of Marijuana.

The charges include assault with a weapon, assault, threatening to cause death, trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and marijuana and possession of property obtained by crime.

No injuries were reported in a mid day accident at the Swiss Chalet on Algonquin. Police say there was some damage to the building when a vehicle hit it.

Bay Today says The Swiss Chalet restaurant is closed indefinitely.
It says the Harvey’s side remains open for Swiss Chalet takeout.
