Lakers playing exhibition game vs NCAA team

The Nipissing Lakers men’s basketball team is hitting the hardwood tonight (Thursday) at Humber College.

They’re playing against Navy, in what Coach Chris Cheng hopes to be the first of many exhibition games against NCAA teams.

The Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey team has signed a blueliner for next season.

Nikolas Kalpouzos is 5’10” and played last year with Toronto of the OJHL.

He notched 42 points last season and added another 8 in the playoffs.

Coach Mike McParland says he hopes Kalpouzos can be a key cog on the teams powerplay unit.
