Pantera Drummer Vinnie Paul Remembered

The tributes are pouring in for drummer Vinnie Paul, who played in Pantera, Damageplan and Hellyeah. Hellyeah guitarist Tom Maxwell writes on Facebook they don’t have much information to give about Paul’s death but he’s now with his brother, guitarist Dimebag Darrell, who was shot and killed in 2004. Maxwell says Hellyeah is feeling “sadness, shock, confusion, anger, despair.” Alice Cooper says Paul’s “impact on heavy music is immeasurable.” Brian “Head” Welch of Korn calls Paul “definitely the kindest living legend I’ve ever met.” Foo Fighters say Paul had the “slickest kicks and the best vibe ALWAYS.” Lars Ulrich of Metallica says Paul’s “incredible hospitality and warm vibe was infectious and inspiring.”
