Bicycle used as a weapon in Wednesday afternoon fight in North Bay

A fight that included a bicycle being used as a weapon has led to assault and assault with a weapon charges for a 34 year old city man.

Police say the incident happened in the intersection of First Ave West and Fraser Street on Wednesday afternoon.

It’s alleged the victim bumped into the accused while walking across the street.

Police say the accused grabbed the bike from the victim and used it as a weapon.

The victim required medical treatment for his injuries.
