Canadore College has entered into a partnership with two companies to develop a Controlled Environment Agriculture Centre of Excellence.

Canadore President George Burton says this centre of excellence will create an ecosystem of organizations who are focused on the future of controlled environment agriculture.

They unveiled an advanced growing system building today (Thursday) situated on the campus, across from the Village.

They are partnering with EnerDynamic Hybrid Technologies Corporation and Growratio Inc. and together they are in the process of planning four collaborative plants and/or factories.

As many as 150 jobs will be created, to start.
