A community walk that’s also a ‘Call for Climate Action’ is taking place later today in the city.

Several local groups are inviting residents to join them as they walk along Main and Oak Streets stopping at federal election candidate offices and other locations.

The event starts at 5 pm at the North Bay Courthouse.

The walk wraps up about an hour and a half later at Trinity United on McIntyre Street East.

Climate walks and marches are taking place in at least 85 cities across Canada today.
