In OUA women’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers look to advance to the next round of the playoffs with a win Friday night  at home to Queen’s. The Lakers took the opener of the best-of-three series 4-1 in Kingston.

Friday’s game starts goes at 730 pm at Memorial Gardens.
In volleyball, both Lakers teams wrap up the regular season at home against Trent on Sunday. The Nipissing men have already clinched a playoff spot.

The Powassan Voodoos play three games in three days this weekend. They’re in Timmins Friday, Cochrane on Saturday and Hearst on Sunday.

Powassan holds a one point lead on Timmins for first in the NOJHL standings.

 

(Panthers)

Saturday’s a big day for the men’s volleyball team at Canadore.

The Panthers are home to Fanshawe in a sudden death playoff, with the winner advancing to the OCAA men’s volleyball championship next week in Peterborough.

The women’s championship is being hosted by Canadore next week.

And the season wraps up this weekend for the Canadore men’s basketball team. They’re home to Fanshawe on Saturday.
