Fountains of Wayne co-founder Adam Schlesinger has passed away from complications due to COVID-19.

Schlesinger had one of the most unique and busy careers in the industry. As a member of power-pop outfit Fountains of Wayne he released five albums between 1996 and 2011. During that time he released six additional albums with his side project Ivy.

The singer-songwriters talents ran much deeper than that of Grammy nominated teen pop anthem Stacey’s Mom. Schlesinger worked on numerous films and television programs throughout the course of his careerHis work on the Tom Hanks film That Thing You Do! lead to an Oscar nomination in 1996.
