Long time comedy vet and Seinfeld actor Jerry Stiller has passed away. His son, actor Ben Stiller confirmed the news early Monday.

The actor launched his career 1950’s alongside wife Meara who passed away in 2015. The pair married in 1954 and performed together as Stiller & Meara on sketch shows throughout the 1960’s, including The Ed Sullivan Show.

Stiller reemerged in the 1990’s as the George’s hysterically high-strung father Frank Costanza on the hit show “Seinfeld.”

Stiller also had a reoccurring role on The King of Queens, once again alongside his wife Meara. In 2000, he wrote about their longtime partnership and marriage in his autobiography, Married to Laughter.

His other notable roles include Zoolander, opposite son Ben, as well as Ben’s movies The Heartbreak KidHot Pursuit and Heavyweights.
