A 46 year old South River resident is facing several charges including impaired driving, not wearing a seatbelt and driving without insurance after a single vehicle crash Sunday night.

Almaguin Highlands OPP were called after a vehicle struck a hydro pole on Inlet Creek Road just before 8 pm on Sunday.

The accused suffered non-life threatening injuries.

North Bay OPP have charged a 43 year old Mattawa resident with impaired driving in connection with a single vehicle ATV crash over a year ago.

The crash happened May 11th, 2019 on Highway 630 in Calvin Township.

The driver sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries.

OPP say the accused has a court appearance next month.

North Bay OPP say they assisted a person in distress on an island in Trout Lake last night.

Police say the situation was resolved in a peaceful manner and the person was taken to hospital without incident.

Police were helped by the North Bay & District Ambulance Service, a Crisis Intervention Nurse who works with the North Bay Police Service’s Mobile Crisis Response Team and the OPP Marine Unit.
