29th impaired charge of the year laid by North Bay OPP

North Bay OPP have now charged 29 impaired drivers this year.

The latest involved a single vehicle ATV rollover on Pioneer Road in Boulter Township late Saturday night.

Police say the driver suffered minor injuries and was brought to hospital by ambulance.

A 20 year old Bonfield resident has been charged with impaired.

Almaguin Highlands OPP report 62 charges over the Civic Holiday long weekend, including 39 speeding tickets.

Along with watching for seatbelt usage, aggressive, distracted and impaired driving, another major focus was on the ‘Move Over’ law.

Eleven drivers were ticketed for failing to move over or slow down for emergency vehicles.

Police say there were no impaired charges filed and thank the majority of drivers who were responsible.
