Hockey world rallying behind #NoahStrong

#NoahStrong is trending locally and in hockey circles.

This after a Tweet by a cousin of 13 year old Noah Dugas of North Bay.

Megan Odd wrote that with a blood clot in the brain, Noah lost all mobility of his arms and legs and is currently in rehab in Toronto.

The hockey world responded with plenty of messages of encouragement on Twitter from various players, NHL teams, the League itself and countless others.

On Hockey Night In Canada, Ron MacLean wished Noah well during Saturday night’s broadcast of Game One of the Stanley Cup Final.

“Lots of people in the hockey community have gathered around this story of you Noah, you’re a heck of hockey player and everybody loves ya,” he said.

“Thinking of you, the thankless jobs in hockey are the ones that best take, and your job is to rehab and get better,” MacLean concluded.

A Noah Strong Facebook page has also been started to raise funds to help his family deal with the financial burdens associated with the medical situation.
