The Christmas break is over for the North Bay Battalion.
The team begins the 2nd half of the schedule tonight in Sudbury against the Wolves.
The Wolves have won both games between the teams this season.
Acting head coach Adam Dennis says the Wolves are an improved club.
“You started to see this team take a turn last year towards the end. It was their first full year under their new coach and this year is a continuation of that,” Dennis says.
The Wolves are 3rd in the eastern conference standings.

The Battalion enter the 2nd half in 9th place in the Eastern conference and are a point out of a playoff spot.
To begin the 2nd half the Battalion have made deal.
They’ve sent their top draft pick in 2016 Adam McMaster to Owen Sound.
In exchange, the Troops have acquired centre Mitchell Russell who was chosen 20th overall in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
This season, Russell has 11 points in 33 games while McMaster has 28 in 34 games. Russell is expected to play tonight against Sudbury.
Justin Brazeau leads the league in points with 63 and is 2nd in goals with 34. Broadcast time tonight is 7 pm on Country 600.
The squad is in Barrie tomorrow before hosting Sudbury on New Years Eve. Adam Dennis says these are key games to begin the 2nd half of the season.
“We got 3 big divisional games and each one has to be treated like a playoff game and we need to put ourselves in a good position,” he says.
The Troops won their last 3 games before the Christmas break.
