The North Bay Battalion started out their two game road trip with a 5-3 win in Peterborough last night (Thursday).

Jake Kment made 24 saves in his fourth straight start for the Battalion, picking up the win over the Petes.

It was a back and forth contest until Mark Shoemaker scored on the powerplay in the 2nd period, to make it 4-2.

Mike Amadio scored into the empty net in the third and assisted on two other Battalion goals.

Mike Baird opened the scoring for North Bay in the first with Miles Liberati and Brett McKenzie finding the back of the net in the second period.

The Battalion are back in action tonight (Friday) in Kingston, taking on the Frontenacs.
