City police say while people are staying home during COVID-19 they need to monitor online activities to ensure children remain safe in their internet community.

With learning taking place at home, and more screen time, police say that includes adding Cyber Safety and Cybercrimes to your child’s curriculum.

They say parents need to be involved and have an open discussion with their kids about online safety.

Police say parents can take advantage of parental controls and point out a great resource is the Canadian Centre for Child Protection.
