Police warning about scam calls

City police report the North Bay area is getting “compromised SIN card” calls.

They say scammers are pretending to be government employees and can be aggressive or use threats to try and get people to reveal personal or financial information, or to pay a fictitious debt.

Police say ‘hang up’ the government doesn’t do business this way.
