City HallNorth Bay City Council may have just enough in their budgets for 2015 according to Sheldon Forgette. The city’s budget chief says in their year-end projections they are seeing a surplus in several areas such as Engineering, Environmental Services, and Works, as well as the Fire Department. However, other areas will bring on a deficit such as General Government and Community Services.

But there is one major area of concern for Forgette.

He says they could see a big deficit once the water meters kick in. He says that sector could be under by nearly $400,000.

Forgette says they have the ability to re-adjust the water meters should they be that far in the red.

He adds they aren’t starting until January and that could be another factor.
