Healthy kids day at YMCA today

It’s Healthy Kids Day today at the North Bay YMCA.

Families are invited to come to the Y today at no cost.

CEO Kim Kanmacher says parents can find it difficult to find time in their schedules to be active and the Y offers many family friendly programs to staying active.

The Y has plenty of ideas today from 11-1 including giant inflatables, games, fitness fun, health and safety tips and draws for prizes.

As well many organizations will be on hand today to engage children and families with information on what they offer.

The list includes Kidsport North Bay, Ontario Early Years Centre, the Callander Softball Association, The North Bay Canoe Club and the city.

There’s also a bike rodeo so kids are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets to today’s activities.
