Special weather statement continues for the area

Environment Canada says the North Bay area can expect freezing rain beginning overnight on Tuesday.

Snow is expected to begin in the evening, turning to freezing rain overnight, and continuing throughout the morning on Wednesday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots can become ice and slippery and they advise drivers and pedestrians to take extra precaution when driving or walking.
