North Bay Refugee CommitteeStuart Kidd says they will be welcoming a mother, father, three boys and a girl from Syria to North Bay Friday morning.

Kidd is the Chair of the North Bay Refugee Committee and he says this is a different family than originally anticipated, so they have had to make temporary accommodations for them.

Kidd says Canadore College will house them in their residence for a couple of weeks, and the committee is close to choosing an appropriate apartment for the family.

Kidd says they should be able to move in by the end of the month.

He says this family is coming from a refugee camp in Lebanon and their main language is Kurdish, but he says they also know some English.

Kidd adds Ibrahim the father from the first family, will be part of the welcoming committee when they arrive on Friday morning.
