flood_5_warning_webThe Conservation Authority has issued a flood warning for Chippewa Creek in North Bay, with the waterway rising above it’s banks.

Environment Canada says 37.4 mm of precipitation fell yesterday (Thursday).

The Conservation Authority says the rain, combined with the snow melt is causing the high water levels.

They also say area water courses will continue to rise over the next few days because of the rainfall and snow melt continuing.

The Flood Watch remains in effect for the rest of the North Bay-Mattawa area.
