Police (North Bay)The North Bay Police Service says one of their officers has been suspended without pay, in accordance with the Police Services Act, effective today (March 31st).

This after court proceedings and findings of guilt in relation to an impaired driving charge.

Police also say Constable Steve Taylor will face a disciplinary hearing under the Police Services Act at a later date.

The North Bay Nugget is reporting Taylor has been sentenced to 45 days in jail, to be served on weekends.

The paper also says 40 year old Stephen Taylor received 18 months probation and is banned from driving for three years.

This after a traffic stop last July.
