imageNorth Bay Police undertook an speed enforcement blitz on Wednesday morning at Algonquin and Jane right next to Ecole Secondaire Algonquin.

North Bay Police Constable Ken Ayres says they began their blitz at 9:15 am and in an hour 20 motorists received tickets.

He says no vehicles were stopped unless there was a 15 Kilometre threshold on the speed they were going meaning they had to be going atleast 65 Kilometres an hour as the speed limit is 50 in that area.

Ayres says the vehicles he stopped were going atleast 70 and in fact one lady yesterday was over 80 an hour.
