9 varsity teams from Canadore and Nipissing in action on the weekend

(File photo by Brian Doherty) In OCAA women’s volleyball, Canadore is now 13-1 on the season.

This after wins over Seneca and Centennial on the weekend.

The Canadore men, meantime, lost both their games to Seneca and Centennial.  

In men’s basketball, Canadore lost 83-74 to George Brown on Saturday.

It was also a busy weekend for Nipissing varsity sports.

In men’s hockey, the Lakers lost 3-1 to Laurier on Sunday.   This after a 4-2 loss to Waterloo on Saturday.

The Nipissing women, meantime, lost 4-1 to Waterloo yesterday after dropping a 1-0 decision in overtime on Saturday to Laurier.

Both Nipissing volleyball teams lost to Toronto and Ryerson on the weekend while in women’s basketball, the Lakers lost 63-57 to Laurentian.

On the men’s side, the Lakers won 84-73 over Laurentian.
