A weekend of soul gripping blues is lined up for North Bay.
The Blues Cruise sets sail Friday night with Jake and The Fundamentals performing on board the Chief Commanda II.
Capitol Centre Marketing Manager Katelyn Ricci says the second annual Bluesfest then takes over their parking lot on Saturday, with plenty of local entertainment.
“Things are going to kick off at 4pm, and there’s going to be 8 Blues bands playing, with headliner Rita Chiarelli at 9:15pm. We’re also going to have an after party at the Raven and Republic,” she says.
Ricci says the weather looks great for the open-air festival.
“We just have that whole festival feel of being outside, under the stars, watching a blues band, having some great food, some great drinks,” she adds.
