police cruiser winter2North Bay Police are looking to speak with the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with a pedestrian Tuesday evening.

Police say a woman in her 20’s and her boyfriend were walking southbound on Lakeshore and crossing Thelma Avenue around 9:15 pm when they were struck by a car.

The male driver stopped to help them and then drove them home.

Police say the woman later went to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The car is described as a late 90’s green, compact 4-door vehicle with a boxy front end.

It’s believed the driver lives in the West Ferris area of the city.

Meantime, the North Bay Police Service reminds motorists that Ontario’s Highway Traffic Act requires every driver of a motor vehicle who is directly or indirectly involved in a collision to report it to police, if it results in injuries or if the damage to property exceeds a combined value of $2,000.
